I needed to do a simple bathroom remodel. At first Maria was responsive and she presented thorough: excel spreadsheets, timeline.
That quickly changed once the contract was signed. She was a no show at a meeting about electricity; then she was unavailable for a week; then spared one hour to answer some questions. She asked for items in an excel spreadsheet online; then by email; then email by trade. I had made clear I wanted to buy items during Black Friday - she effectively stalled until the week before, then sent a curt email after finally sending tiling dimensions announcing she would be out until Dec 6. On Dec 5, when asked about Dec 6 to review our tiling purchases, which we made alone since she had been consistently unavailable, she said she had said "maybe" and was not, in fact, available until small windows mid the following week. She then said she'd be available to "select tile" - which made no sense since we'd bought all of it and added all items to the excel spreadsheet. She proceeded to state we hadn't sent her an excel - huh? The one you have online? Then asked questions by email, then created another tab in that same excel with questions that were already answered in the previous tab.
This is a summary of the back and forths we got between the absences.
We bought the materials alone - but then she billed for selection of final materials. She was consistently sporadic and the only thing that was quick was invoicing. I did not finish the project with Maria and highly recommend to stay away from her.
