We had the extremely good fortune of working with Alicia and Madison at Nitche Interiors to create our dream home during a whole home remodel. I was referred to Nitche Interiors through our architect and every aspect of my home has been shaped by the design, decisions and guidance of Alicia and her staff. Nitche Interiors designed my kitchen cabinetry, a whole wall media center, and both of my bathrooms from floor to ceiling. Alicia created the aesthetic of my home by researching and selecting every faucet, paint color, floor stain, countertop material, and all aspects of lighting in my home. I avoided making so many mistakes through their talent and guidance. Before construction even started on my home, Alicia and Madison worked with my architect and contractor to make changes to the layout of my house to best suit our dream design. Alicia added pony walls in our bathroom for privacy and flow, moved our kitchen island to better suit our vision and made sure we understood our plans and how they would look in reality. Nitche Interiors regularly communicated on my behalf with my architect and my contractor to answer questions and offer assistance. They worked directly with my cabinet maker to ensure the quality design they created came to fruition well and with even the smallest details monitored. I always felt that they understood what we wanted, and developed a cohesive aesthetic to best reflect our desires. Alicia and Madison always had me prepared with the faucets and fixtures that my contractor would require. There is no doubt that hiring Nitche Interiors made my life less stressful and my home is now a better, more beautiful place because of their vision, research and design suggestions.

Alicia Friedmann and her team specialize in interior design for full home remodels and they are exceptional at what they do. If you are considering a large scale redesign, having Alicia on your team sets you up for incredible success, saves you time, and money during the construction process. Once our home plans were finalized with our architect, Alicia worked with us to design every detail of our home, had a 3d color composite, furniture, lighting, finishes, and features picked out before we even started the bidding process with contractors. Alicia supplied contractors bidding for the job with all of these details including elevations, allowing them to include these choices in their bid and reducing unexpected costs down the line.

My husband and I, for our part, in addition to needing a full home remodel required universal design to accommodate my husband’s spinal cord injury. Alicia exceeded our expectations in planning, designing, and implementing her design. Our home is not only accessible and functional but it is stunningly beautiful, unique, and looks anything but “handicapped”. We are so very grateful.

Home remodels are a team sport, requiring regular and consistent contact with architects, contractors, and of course, homeowners. Alicia and her team are readily available, offer a clear and direct pricing structure, clear billing practices, and after hours appointments for working homeowners. She met regularly, not only with our general contractor but with subcontractors who were responsible for our finishes. Everything was done to specification the first time and this is because Alicia so clearly communicated to everyone what was needed.

Alicia is a consummate professional, always prepared, and is incredibly detail oriented. A full home remodel takes time and you want to like the people you work with. Additionally, when it comes to design, you are dealing with issues of taste, values, and aesthetic. Additionally, she embraced my interest in choosing things, myself, included me in any meetings and welcomed me shopping on my own.
