Dr. Silva will greet you and your children warmly, and that’s the only thing that I found positive about her.

She was my daughter’s PCP for 11 long and overdue months before I decided she wasn’t a good fit. Throughout all my visits with her, she was always hesitant and indirect when answering any medical questions. I never felt confident with her as my child’s doctor. The cherry on top was me taking my daughter in after she’d had a reaction and Silva prescribed an antibiotic for what ended up being atopic dermatitis. I had received two other professional opinions from out of state (by sending photos) and they said it was atopic dermatitis and not some bacteria. Either way, I decided to go against my better judgement and use the antibiotic. Afterall, Silva had seen my baby in person and performed an “assessment”. After the first dose of antibiotic, my daughter had an immediate allergic reaction it and so I immediately called Silva and she said to continue giving her it but to use Benadryl for the “symptoms”. Suffice it to say that after seeing my baby’s face blow up like a balloon, I said no. I had to take her to the ER and they confirmed it was dermatitis. They said I was correct in not continuing the antibiotic and that Benadryl would in fact NOT have helped.

After the ER visit, Silva told me to contact specialists for which her office would have to send a referral. It took them a week to send the referrals and by the time they finally did, I was due for an appointment at her office…

The WORST thing about this office is the staff. The girls seem to get entertainment out of being incompetent and rude. The last straw for me was my last visit, when I arrived shortly after 5 minutes and the girl with dark hair and acne scars told me I’d have to reschedule. Their grace period has always been 10 minutes but she said no that it had always been 5. I have another friend who USED to attend this office and complained about the exact same things. Anyway, I did not want to continue visiting her practice— all I needed were the referrals to see the specialists.

If you are a mom/parent who wants confident, competent, and efficient staff— then avoid this place at all costs.

both for Dr. Silva and Dr. shuster are amazing . Dr. shuster makes us new parents feel like he’s known us for so long and answers all your questions.

Dr. Silva is amazing as well. My baby had bad acid reflux, where she was losing weight. Dr. Silva quickly changed her formula and we have not looked back. She always calls when I have a question and I feel this is the doctor who actually cares about her patients

Dr. Silva is amazing. We used to call and be able to get in quick and smoothly. As of late, the office has gone down hill. Every time my son is sick we are never able to get in. Was told my son can’t get a physical until September (it’s June). What good is a physical for school going to do if he can’t have one until September?! My god. The people that work in the front office..not good. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed. We will be switching pediatricians.

We love Dr. Silva and have had my 4 kids there for 5 years or so. She has a calm demeanor and my kids are very comfortable with her. However the phones and front staff make it impossible to reach the doctor when needed, like when my son had an allergic reaction to the medicine Dr Silva prescribed. The staff refused to fit me in or even let me talk to a doctor or nurse. I called 3-4 times in two days and emailed and didn't get any response back until 6 days after the incident. I ended up taking him to urgent care. This is not the first time I've needed to get one of my kids in this year and had zero help from them and ended up in urgent care instead. They frequently turn on the phones late and turn them off early. Beyond frustrated with the office this year.

I had one of the best experiences I have ever had with a doctor and her team with Dr. Melissa Silva!!! Dr. Silva listened to all of my concerns and never made me feel rushed or like I was doing something wrong. She has a warm, kind spirit that fills the room. I could sense her smile even behind her mask. She and the nurses on her team even made my other child who was not being seen at the time feel special. If you are looking for a pediatrician in the Naples área that the family can bond and grow with, pay her a visit! Dr. Melissa Silva is a true diamond!! I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to rave about her ?

Words cannot describe how much we love Dr. Silva. She always has time for us, always listens to our concerns, always makes sure all of our questions are answered. My son absolutely adores her and has no trepidation when I say we have to go see Dr. Silva today. She is wonderful and I recommend her to all my friends.

Dr.Silva is amazing, but I don’t know what is up with the front desk ladies but they really don’t seem like they know what they are doing and have major attitude problems. I’ve called a couple times and they have been very rude and it took them over a month to find my sons medical records in their office. I had to call 5 times to get them to finally search their office for his records that I had faxed over TWICE. I’ve left messages for them to call back and have never received a call back. I love this doctor but they need to figure out their front desk situation it’s extremely unpleasant that my 2 year old had to wait two months to get seen for his two year check up because they couldn’t find his papers.
