My dress and I visited four different alteration shops, all of which were recommended and regularly do wedding dress alterations. I had plenty of time before the wedding, but I couldn't find one that I liked. Two of them quoted me prices higher than the designer dress itself cost. Most of them really stressed me out. One lady even put her head in her hands and said "ah! This will be so much work!" But then my friend told me about Leiren Designs. As soon as I walked in the shop I felt so much better. She is extremely welcoming and a calming presence. I had her full attention during the appointment and she was very reassuring. She totally understood my big bust problems and she had a plan! She didn't seem to think this amount of work was anything out of the ordinary. I felt very comfortable talking with her about how to make the dress perfect for me. I'm thrilled to share that her work was wonderful! The dress was supportive and very comfortable after she was done with it. All of her alterations blended in seamlessly. So well, in fact, that I actually forgot that the lace had been altered because I couldn't tell until she pointed it out! The lace work she added looked totally original. The boning was not at all pokey and made me feel very secure. Can you believe that her quote was the lowest one I got?! I can't recommend her enough.

Madison was the first person I added to my vendor team for my wedding in May 2022 after securing a venue. I chose to work with her before I had a dress and am so grateful I had the opportunity to partner with her on not one, but two dresses!

I entertained the idea of redesigning my mother’s dress for the wedding ceremony. It was your typical Princess Diana inspired dress from the ‘80s. I liked the train of the dress, but wanted a lowered neckline, less mesh, and a different silhouette. After describing the modifications I had in mind, Madison shared ideas of ranging scope and budget so that I could make an informed decision. This was super helpful because I was balancing an overall budget when shopping for a ceremony dress.

While I had full confidence that Madison could redesign the dress to my liking, I was encouraged by her and my mother to go dress shopping so I could do my diligence on current styles.

I was optimizing for a few things - a dress with a crepe style silhouette, a train with lace detail, and some tie-in to my mother’s dress. Madison brainstormed with me throughout my dress shopping process and we landed on a path that allowed me to get all the things I wanted, within my budget, through some really creative design decisions. We’d use elements of my mother’s dress on my “new” dress and redesign what was left from my mother’s dress.

Madison did a “lift and shift” on the lace off my mother’s dress onto my new one and transformed my mother’s dress into a tea length, off the shoulder dress. I wore my mother’s dress to the rehearsal dinner and the crepe styled dress for the ceremony.

I loved my fit sessions with Madison - she has the perfect balance of attention to detail, ability to think of a variety of creative options, and is incredibly supportive and thoughtful. I even let my parents come along to a fitting and they loved learning about the process.

I’d recommend Leiren Designs to anyone looking to redesign a dress or tailoring their wedding dress in a heartbeat! Thanks Madison for making our wedding weekend so memorable.

Madison did such a wonderful job on my bridesmaid dress alterations! The dress was a size too large and I didn't have time to return it for a smaller size. She was able to reconstruct the sleeves and bow on the back/shoulders of the dress to properly fit! Highly recommend her for any needs you may have!

I cannot recommend these alteration services enough. My alterations of hem and bustle came out great and were priced fairly. Two weeks before my wedding, I tried on my dress for my pick-up appointment with Madison, only to realize I had lost more weight than I intended and my dress was not as form fitting as when I originally purchased it.
