We hired Jamie and her team before closing on our house, as we purchased it with the expectation of fully renovating it. We shared with JSDG what our budget was and that we were very concerned about being able to get it all done, but we were assured it would not be a problem and that they would “manage to the lower end of the estimate” they provided. While we love the spaces JSDG was able to complete, we ended up (a) having to manage much of the project on our own, (b) paying the various trades to redo work that wasn’t done correctly under JSDG’s watch, (c) moving into a home with ongoing renovations despite JSDG’s assurances that it would not happen that way and (d) having to postpone renovations for a number of rooms in our house, including the entire basement, the mudroom, all second floor bathrooms and various exterior projects. Despite their initial promises, JDSG did not manage to our budget and claimed to have never said that was part of their services. There is not sufficient time to list all of the issues we had, but suffice it to say that working with JSDG was a major headache that I hope others can avoid.

We worked with Jamie to redecorate and design our home that we’ve lived in for 20 years. It was a fun and exciting process. Jamie not only has incredible taste and intuition – she was open to collaborating with us and our ideas. We absolutely LOVE the results –we are so happy with how our home has been transformed – it’s truly beautiful – and it feels so good to spend our time there!

Jamie is kind, lovely and she truly is a joy to work with.

3 of the 6 chairs Jamie ordered for our kitchen table have BROKEN within 3 months of using them. The wood is defective. Jamie refuses to pay for repair and insists manufacturer won’t cover it in their warranty. Very dissatisfied.
