Staff are always friendly and helpful. They frequently have promos for free stuff just for coming in and making a normal purchase. Sometimes they don't have All the most recent issues of every comic, but they'll try to find it, refer you if needed, etc...Great assortment of toys, figs, pins, plushes and more. Worth the visit every time. 😃

We made an impulse purchase during Christmas Preview and decided it wasn't what kids wanted or needed, note we kept other items we purchased from Bat Comics as I always try to shop local, we then returned two items and asked for a refund. Employee noted they don't really do refunds but she would and it would take a couple days to show, two weeks nothing. I figured money and items gone. We decided to pop in and talk to owner. Brief interaction he said he would try, sure enough got a call 20 minutes and it was on their end refund didn't happen. Day later we were refunded. Thank you for making this right and my desire to continue to support local! Not all business in Chico have been this accommodating!

I am writing a 1 star review for the older male working there and a 5 star review for the sweetest gal on the register. He saw us twice and did NOT once greet us. He appeared to be angry at her over something not in alphabetical order. It's not really my business but you'd think if you're a small business owner you'd approach people kindly to make them want to come back again. The place had potential but personally the management is POOR. He told her to go tend another area when she should be minding the cashier area. All I saw was him being unprofessional. Something minor that could've been discussed privately or done later as it wasn't busy she seemed she could've done. Instead the front was UNATTENDED and in any case vulnerable, if it were my shop and having two people to mind it. Mind you, he was in the back and she was in the front until he made her leave to do something unimportant. She deserves a genuine apology for holding her composure. Nobody deserves that for simply doing a job. She made a minor mistake be that it may be her fault or someone else's fault please do better and treat your employees nicely. She was repeatedly apologizing and it's disgusting behavior to treat her as such. I still bought something just for her interaction and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Everybody has their days but don't take it out on the people who are helping make your business what it is.

Love the older comics they carry, good selection of magic cards, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. This is generally a stop every weekend
