I hired Tami to help me finish my nursery. The baby was due soon and I needed help! The scope of the project started as just a paint consultation. I had too many colors to narrow down and needed help figuring out which would be best. Tami helped me see the nuances in the different colors and have confidence in the final choice. Because Tami is such a joy to work with and so easy to talk to, I expanded the scope of the project to include baby furniture. It was refreshing to learn that I could use items from affordable vendors like Wayfair when working with a designer. She helped me pick products that look high end, without the big price tag and with this being our second baby and not wanting to break the bank it was such a relief. She was very prompt with responses and ordering and everything went very smoothly.
Tami was really a joy to work with and I can't wait to do more projects with her in the future. She gave me so many wonderful tips for picking wall colors that put my mind at ease (I hated the original wall color I had picked myself so I was a little paralyzed by fear picking a new one and she helped me feel confident). I think that was the most surprising thing about working with such a wonderful designer like Tami, the easy tools she provided to help me feel empowered and confident in my choices. Although I love decorating, and have been asked by friends to help them decorate a room here and there, when it comes to my own home, I get overwhelmed with choices and indecision. Enter Tami Smight - she saved me time, money and useless worrying.

I first called on Tami for design advice two years ago when debating about window shades in my kitchen. She actually advised me to leave the windows bare (which my husband preferred and loved!). I knew then that she was looking out for me, what’s best for my home, and my desired end result for the space.

On our current home improvement project, finishing the basement, I was going in circles about mixing cabinetry colors, hardware finishes, and counter top choices. I was close, but stressed about pulling the trigger on any ONE decision. So, once again, I reached out to Tami with two simple questions. She responded the next day with a “Mood Board” complete with links to products, colors, sizes. She educated me as to the “ WHY”..why it is okay to mix the hardware, cabinets etc.

Tami is an AMAZING resource. I am the custodian for a property in Connecticut, but live in Manhattan. I needed assistance updating a bedroom used by a wheelchair bound 93-year-old woman. I needed to do the project remotely - and put my trust in a professional

I contacted Tami, and she went on site, made great design suggestions and stuck to my budget. She helped us with paint colors, new flooring and a beautiful window shade. Tami even came back to hang the artwork

Tami also has a cadre of RELIABLE contractors, who showed up as promised!. All the work was coordinated, and the room re-done in three days with minimal inconvenience to the older woman. Tami, being a former Registered Nurse, brought much needed empathy and knowledge to this project. Everyone loves the result and we now have a clean, safe, brightly redone beautiful room.

Tami makes everything so easy! She has a sense of style that will make your place feel unique AND she can do it remotely. I was having a hard time picking out materials and colors for a kitchen renovation. We live in San Francisco and I always admired Tami’s pictures on Instagram.
