I was initially hesitant to leave a review for ACS, but after seeing a Reddit thread where others shared similar difficult experiences, I felt compelled to share mine.

My journey with ACS started as a hobby project, with no rush to publish my website. I explained this to Chris on our first call, and he assured me they were the right team, charging a monthly fee and an annual hosting fee. However, once I was handed off to Ben, things took a turn for the worse. While Ben is a creative person, his lack of social and interpersonal skills made the process extremely difficult. He frequently gaslit me, made me feel bullied, and was unprofessional in our interactions.

One particular incident marked the beginning of the end: when I expressed dissatisfaction with the website, Ben became very defensive and even made me cry. I reached out to Chris, who promised things would improve, but the apology I received was followed by Ben suggesting we part ways, contrary to our previous discussion.

In moving my site to a different platform, I noticed several red flags I had overlooked. For example, ACS charged me as if they were creating a new website for the Spanish translation, when in reality, it was a simple Google Translate integration. Additionally, there were inconsistencies like missing images on the Spanish site, and overall lack of attention to detail.

Another issue was with invoicing: it took over two weeks to receive an itemized breakdown, which was unacceptable given the large amounts I was being billed. It felt like they were not prepared and possibly overcharging.

Moreover, when I requested a simple task like linking my Instagram, they charged me for it without informing me about additional third-party fees, which I later found out were unnecessary with my new host, GoDaddy.

Overall, unless you want to be gaslit, manipulated, and overcharged for subpar work, I would strongly advise against working with ACS.
